Meet your coach, Rosina Falcone (Head Coach):
This will be Rosina’s fifth year at East Gate, and third year as the Head Coach. She graduated from Loyola University Maryland in May 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education and has spent the year teaching second grade. She is excited for her third year of being the head swim coach because she has a lot of enthusiasm for the sport and loves coaching the Gators!
The Swim Team Reps this year will be Noemi Fischer and Lisa Ridner.
The 2012 East Gate Gators Swim Team season will begin on Tuesday, May 29. The practice schedule will be Monday through Friday at the following times:
Mini Gators, 4:00-4:30
Pre Team, 4:30-5:00
11 and older, 4:30-5:30
10 and under, 5:30-6:30
Starting on Monday, June 18, we will also hold a morning swim practice session, in addition to the afternoon session. Morning swim practice runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Mini Gators will be offered this year on a daily basis, to help our youngest swimmers prepare for a future on the swim team. Pre Team, for those not quite ready for the swim team but who can get across the pool unassisted, will learn their strokes and will participate in a B meet in July.

June 16: East Gate vs. James Creek (at East Gate)
June 23: East Gate vs. Glenmont (at Glenmont)
June 30: East Gate vs. Diamond Farm (at Diamond Farm)
July 7: East Gate vs. Twin Farms (at East Gate)
July 14: East Gate vs. Fallsmead (at Fallsmead)
July 21: Division M Finals (location to be determined).
Division M Relay Carnival date and location to be determined.
Other meets:
July 10: Coaches’ Long Course Meet (at Rockville Municipal Swim Center)
July 28: All Star Relay (at Rockville Municipal Swim Center)
July 29: All Star Individual Meet (at Rockville Municipal Swim Center)
The swim team cannot be successful without parent volunteers. Because our team is “small but mighty,” we need all families to volunteer.
